Sex Crimes:


The Sex Crimes Unit of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office consists of one sergeant, four detectives and a Sex Offender Coordinator. The four detectives are responsible for investigating all sexual offenses, reported to the Sheriff’s Office. These cases include, but are not limited to; sexual assaults of adults, sexual assualts on children, and incest. These detectives are also responsible for conducting follow-up on all sex offenders in unincorporated El Paso County.


The Sex Offender Coordinator is responsible for the tracking of all registered sex offenders in the unincorporated area of El Paso County. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining numerous data bases with up to date information on all registered sex offenders in El Paso County. The coordinator also assists in maintaining up to date information on registered sex offenders on the Sheriff’s Office web site.
