Amateur Radio
There are many amateur radio groups that perform a valuable public service in time of large-scale emergency.
One such group is the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service - R.A.C.E.S. Sponsored by the County Office of Emergency Management, this group provides auxiliary communications support to area governments in an emergency.
