Investigations Division
The Investigations Division consists of 26 sworn and 9 non-sworn, along with 2 grant funded personnel. We are located at our new facility at 101 W. Costilla Street on the second floor.
Also located at this new facility are Sheriff Maketa, UnderSheriff Goodall, the Patrol Division and the Office of Emergency Management. The Office is open Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. After hours visits should be coordinated by contacting the Communications Section, 390-5555.
Our new Evidence Facility is located at 2741 E. Las Vegas Street next to the Criminal Justice Center. Our normal business hours at this facility are, 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday. You may contact our supervisory Evidence Custodian, Dan Istvan at 390-2481.
The Division is divided into six units, and several of those units consist of multiple teams. This allows for teams of detectives to develop experience and expertise unique to their specialization.
