Accreditation Unit
The Accreditation Unit is committed to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of our Office by proactively maintaining accredited status through a continuous review of accreditation standards, as well as policy and procedures.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is a recipient of the Triple Crown Award, presented by the National Sheriff's Association to only twenty agencies across the nation. The Triple Crown recognizes agencies that have received accreditation with three accreditation commissions; the American Correctional Association (ACA), the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), and National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC). In addition, our Office is accredited by the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch (NAEMD) and the National Sheriff's Association (NSA).
