Fleet:
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Fleet Services section services and maintains 275+ vehicles. The vehicles serviced include small trailers thru large specialty vehicles which include Hazardous Material vehicles and Mobile Command Posts. The section is also responsible for the service and maintenance of all vehicles used by Metro VNI. The scope of work ranges from preventative maintenance to preparing new vehicles for service and decommissioning vehicles at their end of life.
During 2010, Sheriff’s Office fleet vehicles drove approximately 3.13 million miles with more than 1732 work orders completed by the Fleet Services section. The fleet used in excess of $370,000.00 in fuel and 420 tires in this calendar year.
