Sheriff's Office Still Looking for Missing Teen

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Rosella A. Scott, DOB: 11/01/98.  Rosella was reported missing on March 17, 2016, and was last seen at  Mitchell High School around 8:30 AM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.  She is known to possibly frequent the Citadel Mall area.

On April 5, 2016, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office began searching for a missing teen, 15 year old Jasmine Hart.  She is 5'03" tall, weighs approximately 130lbs, and has black hair and brown eyes.

On April 12, 2016, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office began searching for a missing teen, 16 year old Mariah A. Davidson.  She is 5'02" tall, weighs approximately 125lbs, and has brown hair and brown eyes.  Mariah was last seen by her schoolmates around 10:00 AM, at the Civa Charter High School, located at 225 S. Union Boulevard.  She was seen leaving the school with a female who is thought to be missing person, Eva Kuecker, in addition to several other unidentified males.

Sheriff’s Office Asking for Public’s Help to Find Runaway Teen

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance again in finding 16 year-old Eva Kuecker.  Eva was initially reported missing on March 17, 2016, and was found a short time later.  She was reported missing again on April 3, 2016, and was last seen at the Citadel Mall on or around April 5, 2016.

 

Sheriff's Office Looking for Suspect in Multi-Jurisdictional Burglaries

On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at approximately 9:30 AM, a home was burglarized in the 8300 block of Chipita Park Road.  A neighbor saw a newer red Jeep Cherokee fleeing the area driven by a White male in his mid to late 30's.

Members of our Community Continue to be Scammed - Important Information to Know

On Wednesday, April 6, 2016, the Sheriff's Office warned our community about a scam where the suspects were using the name of our Chief Deputy Todd Evans.  The messages range from having warrants out for their arrest to civil judgments, in addition to owing the government money.

Since that press release we have had a staggering number of citizens who continue to be victimized by this scam.

Sheriff's Office Looking for Suspects in ID Theft Case

Four vehicles were broken into overnight on Monday, April 4 - Tuesday April 5, 2016, in the 4700 block of Gami Way in the Colorado Centre neighborhood. The stolen credit cards were then used at 3:16 AM at the Fountain WalMart located at 6310 Highway 85. The three suspects were together and purchased three PlayStation 4’s featuring a free “Call of Duty” game, and one gray iPhone 6. The suspects left in a late 1990’s-early 2000 silver or gold SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee.

The Sheriff's Office has received intelligence of another scam.  In these new cases the suspects are using the name of the Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Todd Evans.  The messages range from having warrants out for their arrest to civil judgments, in addition to owing the government money.  These cases have been reported to both the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and the Colorado Springs Police Department

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Daishanae Moore (AKA: Dai Dai), DOB: 07/08/99.  Daishanae was reported as a runaway on March 31, 2016.  She has been seen twice with an unknown older African-American female.  The two have been using an EBT Card that does not belong to them.

A second transaction occurred the same day at approximately 5:20 PM, in the amount of $1,079.29 at the Best Buy store located at 5395 South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood, CO.

On March 25, 2015, at approximately 11:30 AM, Detectives’ with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office were scheduled to meet with Lorenzo Brooks, DOB 12/1/69, and his attorney to serve a Warrant.  As Deputies approached the vehicle, Brooks would not exit his vehicle.  Detectives’ did engage in dialog with Brooks through an open window in which he stated “I am going to die today.”

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Amber R. Pullera, DOB: 3-31-00.  Amber has been missing since March 21, 2016, when she was last seen by her mother leaving her residence on the 1000 block of Western Drive.  It is possible she was seen with friends on March 23, 2016, in the area of Powers and Omaha. Amber has not been seen or heard from since.

On March 24, 2016, at approximately 11:30 AM, Joseph Franklin, DOB: 7/2/99 (16yrs) left his residence in the 500 block of Rose Drive after an argument with his parents.  His current location is unknown but he is known to frequent the area of Main Street, Security Boulevard and Highway 85/87.  He is also known to carry weapons.

Sheriff’s Office Asking for Help in Identifying Suspect in a Shoplifting Case

On Tuesday, March 15, between 11:45 AM-12:26 PM, a male left the Falcon Wal-Mart, 1550 Meridian Market View with a shopping cart that contained two Bostich or Stanley tool sets, a Poulan chainsaw, Bounty paper towels, various clothing and an Easter Basket.

The male was observed putting the items in a red 1997 Chevrolet Camaro bearing license plate QSR-992.  The vehicle was occupied by a female passenger.  The direction of travel is unknown at this time.

In accordance with Colorado law, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is notifying the community that Jerrell Jamil Evans has moved to an address in the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction.  Evans is a sex offender whose past behavior has led him to be labeled a “Sexually Violent Predator” (SVP) by the court.  Accordingly, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has made “community notification” as required by law and undertaken the following tasks, among others:

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Raymond San Nicolas Fernandez, DOB 09/24/1976.  Fernandez has been missing since March 14, 2016.  His last known location was in the area of Marksheffel Road and Drennan Road near Colorado Center.

On Wednesday March 16, 2016, from 4:00 PM-10:00 PM, Texas Roadhouse at 595 8th Street will donate 10% of your total food purchased to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Cadet Program.  The Fundraiser will support the Cadets’ trip to the 2016 Law Enforcement Explorer Post Advisors Association of Colorado (LEEPAAC) Conference.   The conference brings together many of the law enforcement explorer posts in Colorado and nearby states to participate in regional training and competition.

Members of the El Paso County Sheriff's Office will be joining with other law enforcement agencies for Mental Health First Aid Training, which is being provided by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Peak View Behavioral Health and the Bank of Colorado.  This training will take place on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, at the Office of the Sheriff, located at 27 E. Vermijo Avenue.

Suspects Sought in Burglary Case

On March 7, 2016, at approximately 5:25 AM, Deputies responded to Couch Circle in reference to a residential burglary.  Witnesses told Deputies they were sleeping in the basement of the home when they woke to a commotion.  They saw unknown males assaulting another resident of the home.  It is unknown how the males entered the home but there was no sign of forced entry.  The victim of the assault was taken to a local hospital,  treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.

Men Killed in Plane Crash Identified

On March 2, 2016, at approximately 8:01 AM, The Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center received multiple 911 telephone calls reporting that a small aircraft had crashed on the southeast end of Palmer Lake and was on fire.  Law enforcement and fire fighting personnel from the area responded to the scene and found that not only was the aircraft fully engulfed in flames but the surrounding brush was on fire as well.

Arrest Made In 20 Year Old Sexual Assault Case with Additional Victims Possible

Joel Market, DOB: 9/20/67 was arrested on March 1, 2016, in Texas on charges stemming from a 1996 Sexual Assault of a Child case in El Paso County, Colorado.  Detectives believe that Market could have assaulted additional victims in and around El Paso County and Colorado Springs from 1996 to 1998.

 

Market is described as a black male, who is 5’08” tall and was 170lbs at the time.

The Law Enforcement Polar Plunge is an annual event to help raise funds for the Special Olympics.  The Special Olympics provides impactful sports and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.  This year's motto is "Freezin for a Reason."

On Sunday, February 21, 2016, at approximately 11:00 PM, the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received information regarding a threat posted on the “After School” chat site involving Ellicott Schools.  “After School” is a group chat site where members can post anonymously to specific school threads.

Sheriff's Office Looking for Suspect in Credit Card Fraud Case

On January 28, 2016, several fraudulent charges were made on a victim’s Navy Federal Credit Union bank account.  The victim does not know how this person obtained her bank account information. Other fraudulent charges were made the same day at a Colorado Springs ATM, and another Walmart in Pueblo.
