Commander King has also served as a DTO, Driver's Training Instructor and is an original and longstanding member of the Special Response Team (SRT) since it was formed in 1992. He is very excited to return to one of his favorite assignments in Detention Security as the Division Commander and looks forward to getting to know the many new members whom have been hired during these past four years, as well as reuniting with those he has come to know over the years and been fortunate to have worked alongside.
"I believe every member of our Office is equally important to the overall mission. I understand line level staff is often very well informed but sometimes left out of the important decision making process in matters which directly affect their safety and the security of our facility. I will work tirelessly to ensure their ideas and experiences are considered in the decisions made at my level. I hope to empower every member of the Detention Security Division to feel safe and secure in their assignment and provide the opportunities for career development or promotion each member desires."
